NEW YORK, Dec. 31, 2015 — This week’s TV blogs wrapped up the year with a look at the worst shows of 2015, and a rundown of the revered TV legends we lost during the year.

Then it was on to two renowned shows returning in the New Year — “American Idol,” which clearly has over-stayed its welcome, and “Downton Abbey,” perhaps the greatest TV show ever made, coming to an end in its final season.
